Too often, we forget that amazing talent lies all around us. That
music is about the here and now; its most exciting aspect comes from
realizing it live and in real time by performers and composers who
happen to be people just like you and me. Juventas is here to remind
us that the minds of the young and hardworking can create statements
that are profoundly beautiful and moving. We are here to give a voice
to the composers and musicians who will be the foundation of music in
the future. With your help, we strive to form a community that
supports these creators and their unique ideas.

Juventas is gaining recognition in Boston and elsewhere. The Boston
Globe highlighted our season-opening "Uplifted" concert series. The
program kicked off our residency at the Boston Conservatory, which
also included performances at Boston University's Marsh Chapel and the
Lilypad in Cambridge. Meanwhile, our performance at Images and Voices
of Hope's World Summit in New York inspired Rod McGrew, former manager
of Stevie Wonder and Barry White, to offer a spontaneous tribute to
Juventas during a panel at the convention.

As we continue to grow, we face an increased need for funding. Our
main priority as a group is to provide young, emerging composers with
excellent performances in multiple venues across Boston. We have a
growing budget in all areas, including venue fees and commissions for
composers. We plan to incorporate as a nonprofit this year, which
will cost a minimum of $1,000. Broad support from individual audience
members is important if we are to accomplish this year's goals.

Through your contribution, you become a key part of the Juventas
community. Donors at the level of $100 or more will be contacted
personally by a composer or performer to express our gratitude and
share the excitement of creating new music. If you prefer not to give
at this time, you can still help by volunteering in a variety of
capacities. Bring a friend to our next concert—hearing the music is
the best reason to support it.
